AML specialist (part time)

Capitalia is an authorized crowdfunding service provider and alternative investment fund manager. AML specialist will be helping us to manage day-to-day AML functions and ensure necessary regulatory and risk compliance by developing the internal control system. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week)
Responsibilities
  • Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD): Conduct thorough CDD and EDD on new and existing clients (individuals and legal entities) in line with the company’s AML procedures and policies
  • Policy Development: Participate in the development and implementation of the company's internal control system, including AML-related policies and processes
  • Audit and Compliance Support: Assist in preparing for and responding to internal and external AML audits and to the requests from the regulatory authorities, banks and other counterparties
  • Regulatory Reporting: Prepare reports and ensure timely submission of relevant AML/CTF filings
  • Compliance Advisory: Provide advice and guidance to the business on AML matters, deal with emerging compliance and legal issues
Apply if
  • At least two years of work experience in the AML field
  • Hands-on experience conducting CDD and EDD for individuals and legal entities
  • Experience drafting internal policies and procedures is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of AML and sanctions legislation, including regulations and guidelines issued by the Bank of Latvia
  • Proficiency in Latvian and English, with strong written communication skills in both languages
  • A “can-do” attitude, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to AML challenges
  • Eagerness to learn and motivation to develop a deep understanding of the company’s business processes to better integrate AML practices
  • Legal education will be considered an asset
What are we offering We offer pportunities to develop your expertise in AML and compliance while contributing to an innovative company offering financing products to businesses.  Our office is in the heart of Riga, and we provide option for partial remote work on a flexible schedule. Commensurate with your experience and skills we can offer salary of up to EUR 1600 per month (EUR 3200 full time equivalent)
